Once again my inbox is speaking to me!

Okay, I have been going on a bit about Jessica Sprague's webpage, digiproducts and general wonderfulness in here for a while now. One of my SP challenges was to try out one of her online courses and see what it was like, but I hadn't been able to do it yet, wanting to finish the Monkey's digiscrap book before taking on any other projects.

Well I open up my inbox today to find a code for a free JS course which is focussing on holiday pages! Just as I am about to finish the scrapbook. Just as I was thinking I want to start working on some other scrapping, as well as my millions of Monkey pages. Just as I was thinking how bored I am with the same old Christmas pages I have done previously, yet I still do them because I feel like I have to!

So I have signed up and am super excited about it, now I just have to wait till it opens on Monday - yes the deadline for getting my digiscrap book into Snapfish.

The stars are aligning I tell you :)

The link is here if you would like to check it out for yourself, all you have to do is sign up for the newsletter so you can log in and put the code in. Simple!

The fun of yoghurt

Another Jessica Sprague tutorial that can be found here. She has used it as a hybrid technique but mine is all digital.

It's a simple effect but I quite like it. I am a bit annoyed though, i would have liked to muck around with it more and maybe lessen the gap between photos but my computer had PMS. This was just my first play around without papers and so on anyway, but I think I will do a proper page with these photos and this technique to follow it up.

Queen of productivity!

As much as I am missing the Monkey today and as quiet as our house is, it's amazing how much you can get done without a little one underfoot!

I have spent a lot of today doing some digiscrapping which has been great. Unfortunately I think my version of Photoshop (PS Elements Version 2 - at least 6 years old I think!) and/or my computer are on their last legs so it has been rather frustrating dealing with files that won't open and close when I want them too. But even so I have managed to get three pages done and am working on my fourth.

Again they are all Monkey based as they will be going into her First Year Digiscrapbook. The 'Headstands' one incorporates a Jessica Sprague tutorial on overlays that can be found here. I have been wanting to do this for ages so it was once again good to see how easy it was.

And in other news, I am very proud to say the study is almost perfectly tidy now, will upload some pics tomorrow as proof. I forget how lovely it is being in here when it's all nice and organised.

So the end of the month is here! I fared a little better in the end than I thought I would with my SP list, but still far from perfect. I will do a proper rundown and new list for July tomorrow, but for the moment here is another Jessica Sprague tutorial I have been playing with.
The aim of this one was to recolour a segment of a black and white photo, and I was surprised at just how easy this was! My examples are still really rough as a certain Monkey needed attention in the middle of playing around with it, but again I want to give this another go with a specific photo to see if I can improve on it.

Did I mention I love Jessice Sprague? ;)

Just another Manic Monday

Jessica Sprague is the most inspiring website I have come across in my few short months of interest in digital scrapbooking. I love her tutorials and products, and the second I get my hands on a decent version of PhotoShop I am going to sign up to one of her online courses which I hear are amazing!

The tutorials from here are so simple, which is what I need in particular when it comes to photo editing.

Here are a couple of edits I have done based on her focal point tutorial. I love the idea behind this but unfortunately I don’t think my photos do the technique justice. My aim is to now take a few photos with using this technique in mind and see if I can improve on what I have had a play with here.
