Welcome 2010

So here we are, the first day of a new decade. Pretty cool, if not a little scary as to where the last ten years went but anyway!

It seems to me as good as time as any to think about how the SP blog is going and what I want it to be. I started this to make myself a bit more accountable for my 'me' time, to remind myself that it's important and how much happier I am when I spend a little time each week doing something creative. And while it started off well, the fact is it just ended up becoming another thing on the long list of things to do. I really enjoyed trying new projects and so on but felt bad when things got busy and I couldn't keep up.

But all that said, I have been concentrating more on my hobbies since starting it and that has to be a good thing right?

So I have decided to change SP from being a 'to-do' list each month, to just being a place where I share what I have been up to in my free time. I think I may keep the master list just to give me some inspiration when I need it, and am excited about adding some sewing projects in the mix as well.

So here's to 2010 ... and small pleasures
